The Sony World Photography Awards is an interactive international event that invites several million people from all over the world to participate in an amateur photography contest held alongside the professional contest.

Each photographer can submit up to 3 photographs.

All the works submitted are judged by the Académie members. A winner shall be selected in each category. The 9 winners’ works will be displayed with all the finalists’ photographs at the Festival Hall in Cannes from 21 to 25 April 2008. The exhibition will be open to the public.
