The best moments for the best light…
Isles of Lérins: • Saint-Honorat: monumental architecture of the fortified monastery, the cloister, the sun at its zenith
• Sainte-Marguerite - In the Fort Royal: Terrasse Bazaine for its panorama over Cannes in the late afternoon
Le Suquet: • Between midday and 2pm or in the evening: the terraces and restaurants in Rue Saint-Antoine, blurring passers-by with long exposures • From Place de l’Église: panorama over La Croisette in the afternoon • Photograph the architecture of Notre Dame d’Espérance church at night with its lighting
Luxury hotels: details of façades and wide-angle close-ups at night
La Croisette: new lighting at nightfall to develop in perspective with a wide-angle lens; shot from the Festival Hall and Roseraie requiring a tripod
Marché Forville: scenes from everyday life, for which you need very sensitive equipment; always introduce yourself to the stallholders before photographing them
Boulevard Gazagnaire: sunrise
Unusual curiosities: • Pheasants on the Isle of Saint-Honorat • The Ornithological Reserve at Le Batéguier pond on the Isle of Sainte-Marguerite • The Jacques Tati mural at the top of Le Suquet • By helicopter during the Royal Regattas, preferably at approximately 5pm for the light
By boat: sunset on the Monastery to the west of Saint-Honorat. |
